The law firm Martin & Associes is a French law firm which is more than sixty years old and mainly intervenes in real estate law, with a strong focus on construction law. Today the Firm is adapting to the evolution of its business environment and opens up its practice to new areas such as public business law, and commercial leases.

Founded in 1948 by Bernard SUR, who used to be Deputy General of the National Association of Attorneys and a Member of the Attorneys Order's Council, the Firm has, since its beginning, focused on construction law and in particular the defence of architects.

In 1971, Jean-Pierre MARTIN joins the Firm which, in 1976, will be one of the first to become a S.C.P.A. (Societe Civile Professionnelle d'Avocats).

Since then, the growth of our European activities has led the Firm to liaise with other law firms in different countries of the European Union. Therefore, the Firm has developed business ties with several law firms located in most of the European capitals, all of them having construction law and business law as their main practice.

The Firm, since then, has advised several foreign architects, constructors and engineers acting in France but also numerous French architects, constructors and engineers intervening in foreign countries (European Union, Middle East, Asia...).

The law firm Martin & Associes is now well known over the whole French territory, and provides its client with a knowledge, an expertise and a morality on which they may rely to build strong long term relationships.

Besides its traditional activity of litigation in construction law, the growth of the Firm has led it to strengthen its activity as counsellor and broaden the scope of its practice, both nationally and internationally.

Hence, the Firm now provides its clients with both a legal and a judiciary knowledge that help them devising a real estate management strategy to avoid the financial and liability risks that faces every actor of the construction business.
